Peter F. Gontha’s name is almost synonymous with Jazz in Indonesia. His Java Jazz Festival, which started in 2005, and since then has become the biggest jazz festival in the world for more than a decade now. Beside his love with Jazz, Peter is also known as a prominent business personality of so many achievements with a "Midas Touch".

After concluding his service as Indonesian Ambassador to Poland, Peter founded the Melchor Group in 2019, whose mission is to preserve the planet and prevent climate change impacts through carbon sequestration activities. Since then, Melchor Group has grown into becoming a parent company of several progressive subsidiaries that focus on environmental aspects.

During his tenure as ambassador, after being appointed by president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Peter was also assigned as Special Envoy for Indonesia’s palm oil negotiation team with the European Union. This became a pivotal point of his deepening concerns for environmental preservation and climate change issues.

A very prominent figure in business, Peter had played many roles across many industries and chaired various big and reputable companies including Shell, Citibank, American Express, Bimantara Group, and Garuda Indonesia. His other business ventures can be traced in the real estate sector like Plaza Indonesia and Bali Intercontinental Resort, aside also from PT Tri Polyta Indonesia, First Media, PT Datakom Asia, and PT Jaring Data Interaktif.

Peter also founded Chandra Asri, Indonesia’s biggest petrochemical company, that helped elevate the country from olefin import dependencies in the plastic industry. Peter started his business endeavour in the media industry and has built many legacies with involvements in founding many major national broadcasting companies such as RCTI, SCTV, Indosiar, Indovision and Trijaya FM.

A PhD holder in business law, and a very well-known lawyer that has been representing well-known high-profile clients in Indonesia. Specialized in Fraud and White-Collar Crime with significant experience in litigation involving civil and criminal cases, banking and finance, merger and acquisitions, bankruptcy/insolvency, arbitration and intellectual property. His network in government and private sectors is an important element for Melchor to grow the business while his legal advisory keeps us in the right track.

As a lawyer, he has helped win many cases in the International Court of Arbitration. Thanks to his business knowledge and excellent business intuition, he has contributed Melchor and other businesses in various initatives from Maritime Industry to Food & Beverages.

Very popular among his friends which include among others Government Officials in top positions, Political Party Leaders, top reputable businessmen, and maintains a very good relationship with them. Other than that, his extensive business networks have also helped bring in foreign investors from numerous countries.

He is also the Managing Partner of MR & Partners Law Office that is adept at litigation, negotiation and counselling.

Edwin is a seasoned banker figure in the current tenure as a Commissioner in the Maybank Group which parented PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk. With over 50 years of experience in the banking sector, his experiences included as Head of Treasury at Citibank N.A. and Executive VP Bank Mandiri, among others.

Starting his path as a banker in the treasury department of Citibank, Edwin left Citibank after achieving the Vice President position. He moved as Executive Consultant in Atlantic Richfield Company (Arco) Asia Inc. in Singapore; which brought him back to the U.S. where he worked for Arco Dallas Texas. In 1999, Edwin was appointed as Chief of Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (BPPN). Two years later, Edwin returned to the banking industry as an independent commissioner of Bank Central Asia.

From then, his career continued to several major banks and industries such as a Commissioner of Bank Danamon, President Commissioner of Bank Mandiri, President Director of BHP Billiton, Independent commissioner of Indonesia Infrastructure Finance.

Edwin's deeply rooted experience in the banking world ensures Melchor Group to always operate with the highest level of compliances and best practices in regards to financial aspects.

Fachry Thaib is a senior Indonesian entrepreneur with extensive experience and understanding in several industries, from mining, logistics, and forest restoration and conservation.

He went to Hamburg University, Germany, to learn economics. His extensive business experience has brought him to have solid networking among Indonesian and international entrepreneurs. In addition, his experience at the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) has given him broad exposure in various circles.

At KADIN, Fachry is a Representative of the Board of Directors of ICCIA (Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture) Members. At the same time, also as Chairman Middle East & Organization of Islamic Conference Committee. In addition, he also took office as Chairman of the Permanent pCommittee on Economic Cooperation for the Middle East, OIC, and Europe for three consecutive years.

His extensive experience and knowledge mean a lot to the growth of the Melchor group as a whole.

Dewi has 20 years of experience in marketing and people management, as well as the ability to collaborate creatively with consumer product companies, government institutions, and the media, as a result of her managing her own company since 2005.

She commenced her professional journey at an investment banking firm in the United States, and subsequently rose to the position of Investor Relations at the inaugural Pay TV and satellite holding company in Indonesia.

Dewi is the President Director of PT Java Jazz Festival, where she is responsible for the management of one of Indonesia's largest music festivals. She collaborates with private and government entities to organize events that engage a global audience. She negotiates with sponsors, agencies, and vendors to guarantee world-class execution and collaborates with the government to promote Indonesia as an international event destination.

In December 2024, Dewi has also been appointed as the Chair of the Permanent Commission in Promotion and Marketing of Organizing Events at KADIN, which has further contributed to Indonesia's business and promotional landscape.
